What the other authors are saying about this book:
"Be careful with this dynamite book. It may explode into your life and you will never be the same. It's a message that brings the most important truths of God's Word into balance. Don't just read itgive copies to your friends!"
- George Verwer, founder of Operation MobilizationI didn't merely read The Grace and Truth Paradox; I drank it down like a thirsty woman who'd discovered a deep well of fresh, clean water. This book overflows with grace and truth, carefully presenting a case for both elements to co-exist in the hearts and lives of believers. I found myself whispering, Yes! Yes! as I read, underlining like mad and committing to memory the important truths and grace-filled examples that fill the pages of this refreshing book. - Liz Curtis Higgs, author of Bad Girls of the Bible
The modern church struggles mightily over how to embrace Christ's example of living by both grace and truth. In this marvelous and very readable book, Randy Alcorn clearly illustrates how grace and truth are not opposites, but are both essential to loving God and our neighbors.
- Bill Bright, Founder, Campus Crusade for ChristGrace and Truth flow as a single stream from the throne and heart of God. The two met together on a hill called Calvary; they are inseparablewe cannot truly have one without the other. Randy Alcorn explains the nature and necessity of these twin pillars on which rest the Gospel and all our hope. He points out the perils of pitting one against the other or exalting one at the expense of the other. In his probing, incisive manner, Randy presses us to examine our lives for any lack of balance and paints a compelling picture of what it means to walk as Christ did, in the fullness of both Grace and Truth. - Nancy Leigh DeMoss, host of Revive our Hearts, author of Lies Women Believe
Read this book carefully, prayerfully and meditatively. Listen for Gods still small voice to speak. Heed the warnings and expectantly look forward to our Lords grace and truth, in balance, dramatically changing your world.
- Dr. Walt Larimore, Vice President of Medical Outreach, Focus on the Family, author Bryson City TalesFor all of us who desire to understand concretely and simply the essence of being like Jesus, this book is a must read. When we are people of grace and truth we are most like our master. Please read this book so that the reality of Jesus may be known more clearly in your world.
- Joseph M. Stowell, President, Moody Bible Institute, author of Simply Jesus
Randy Alcorn once
again hits the nail right on the head. Real, honest and relevant to the true
Christian lifestyle. - S. G.
I just finished reading The Grace and Truth Paradox. I have been challenged to live with a "Christlike balance" as you call it. As a ministry wife I realized that I tend to respond to our church family with a heavier dose of grace out of fear of how they will respond and yet I realized that I parent our three girls with a heavy hand of truth. I am saddened as I now see the impact this lack of grace equal with truth has had on those around me.How have I encouraged women around me to be more Christlike? To strive for holiness like God is holy? And truth has not set my girls free...it has made them afraid of making mistakes. I am asking my Lord and Savior today to help me understand how to balance truth and grace in my relationships and life and to give me courage and strength to choose to live with that understanding. - P. C.
I just finished reading The Grace and Truth Paradox. Honestly, the Lord gave me that book at the exact time I needed to read it. I had recently shared with my husband and prayed about that very struggle that I have and found this little book that we had not yet read before. It really will help change my life and how I will witness to others. I have been a volunteer in a Christian Crisis Pregnancy Center, and my husband is an attorney and is praying about running in an upcoming elected position for county judge. - T. R.
If a person enters into a relationship with Jesus Christ, shouldn't there begin a transformation in their life? Yet I read in your book The Grace & Truth Paradox and have been told by other people that "good works don't save us, and bad works won't kill us." I strongly believe in eternal security, but I fear that some are going to stand face to face with the Creator of the universe and he will say, "I never knew you." - C. M.
I want to tell you very joyfully that God has worked profoundly in me. The Holy Spirit has revealed to me, has taught me, and has convinced me of the fact that our salvation is secure and cannot be lost. I am now in the group of men and women in the world who have understood the true message of God's grace. Though God has been dealing with me about this and showing me things little by little, now in these most recent days I have been deeply impacted through reading and personal study of some material. In particular I read one book that made me see the light and cleared up my doubts, and that is the book by Randy Alcorn, The Grace and Truth Paradox. - L. D.
I just finished reading The Grace and Truth Paradox. I am blown away by the clear, refreshing teaching in this little book. Thank you for answering questions that have been floating around in my head for a long time. - A. B., Winston-Salem, NC
I am an Air Force family practice physician who was stationed in Iraq from May through July of this year. The reason I am writing to you, is that I had the pleasure of meeting a Christian army aviator during my time in Kirkuk who gave me a book entitled The Grace and Truth Paradox. It was a wonderfully concise, yet incredibly potent description of the character of Christ. I enjoyed it tremendously and was afforded the opportunity to share it with others. I am confident my wife will also enjoy your book upon my return to the states this month.
I am grateful for the doorway this aviator opened into Eternal Perspectives Ministries. I look forward to tapping into more of your resources, and I thank you again for having written the book I was able to read while in such a remote place. - R. G., Omaha, NE
I read The Grace and Truth Paradox. It changed my life. It is so well written and insightful. - G. R.
I just finished The Grace and Truth Paradox. You have articulated what has been out of balance in the Christian life. Having been raised in a "truth" legalist environment, it brought home the issue of grace we pathetically missed. I am telling others of your book. - M. C.
I was so impressed and validated in reading The Grace and Truth Paradox. It was so simple (the Holy Spirit's way) and so profound that I read through the book once and I am going back and studying it. Oh how I pray that the Church will hear the beauty and truth of this book based on Christ. - K. B.

I've just finished reading The Grace and Truth Paradox for the second
time in two weeks, and it's been an amazing blessing in the deep troubles in
my marriage, and in my own walk with Christ. - B. D.
Recently your book, The Grace & Truth Paradox, was brought home from a bookstore by my wife. I must confess that the book contains more than its volume or size. Its size really makes it appealing for reading, and the contents are very captivating. It is full of practical examples. Before I was called to serve as a pastor, we had been functional members in churches that were either for grace-only folks or truth-only folks. But Jesus the Savior is full of both grace and truth. I cannot thank you enough for your book. - A. G.
