Barack Obama and John McCain on abortion

It's now less than 6 weeks from the election. I have a few more blogs I want to do on the candidates, related to the prolife issue.

I'll present two articles, then two videos, on the presidential candidates, focusing on their stances on abortion. Skip to the videos if you like, or if you've got time, check out these articles.

Note that both are negative toward the candidates. The first is a Democratic party treatment of John McCain, accusing him of being "anti-choice." If it had a title it would be "Why You Shouldn't Vote for McCain." Article against John McCain. (Note: since this blog was posted, this article on Mccainpedia.org no longer exists.)

The second article is in fact entitled "Why Christians Shouldn't Vote for Obama." The first six reasons and the final one specifically involve his positions on abortion and related issues. Three others involve his position on homosexual marriage. Article against Barack Obama.

Since both men (consulting with their vice presidents) would presumably choose Supreme Court justices partly in light of their beliefs on abortion as it relates to the law, their beliefs on this subject are particularly relevant. And all voters should weigh not only who we are voting for, but what.

Now, here are two videos. The first is Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, announcing their endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama (she's also joined by other NARAL staffers):

Here's a prolife video that speculates on why some people are particularly negative about Sarah Palin. Maybe it's not fair toward Obama. What do you think?
