Nothing in particular sticks out. But I do know one thing that is difficult, and that’ s when I’m challenged about the hypocritical behavior of Christians, and in some cases I have to admit it’s true. For instance, to use a current example, there’s no way I can defend a televangelist flying around to vacation spots in a twenty million dollar private jet paid for by donors to his nonprofit ministry. 1 Timothy says we are to pay attention to our lives and our doctrine. Both are essential. Occasionally I see believers who I wish would just close their mouths and not tell anybody they’re Christians. We need to be like Jesus, full of grace and truth. If it’s grace without truth or truth without grace, it’s neither.
