Wait Until Then, a thirty-two page big format picture book, was published in February. It’s a very short story, only two thousand words, about a boy who loves baseball, and his grandfather who played one year for the Boston Red Sox with Ted Williams.
I received the following comment about my blog on Haiti and Pat Robertson's comments: I am no fan of Pat Robertson, but I have listened to the clip where he talks of Haiti over and over and I have never heard him even ONE TIME say that God punished or judged Haiti. I really enjoyed teaching a 12-hour course on Heaven and the New Earth at Corban University last spring. We had it filmed with the goal of providing an affordable DVD set people can use for personal study, or in their churches, classes or small groups.

At 9:00 PM Thursday, I got a phone call from Nanci as I was putting grandson Matthew Franklin to bed in the room that once was his mother’s. As Nanci talked, in the background was a loud cry, out of the mouth of Jack Timothy Franklin. Jack had just come into the world at 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and 19.5 inches.

I actually use a number of translations, including the English Standard Version (ESV). I also use the New International Version (NIV) and in the past I’ve used the New American Standard Version.
