Some of you have read The Game Plan for Life, a book which focuses on the key areas of life a man needs to address in order to lead a victorious life. Joe Gibbs asked eleven men to write chapters on everything from the Bible, God, and creation, to sin and addiction, finances, marriage, and Heaven.
I have seldom so much enjoyed putting a book together as I did We Shall See God. (See my previous post for more on Spurgeon and why I decided to compile the book.)

I spoke about Mark Galli’s God Wins in the previous blog. (The ebook is now available on Amazon.) Today I’ll deal with Francis Chan’s Erasing Hell, another response to Rob Bell’s Love Wins. Then I’ll compare Chan’s book to Galli’s.
In the past few months, I have been repeatedly asked about the phenomenally popular book Heaven is For Real. This book was again number 1 on the May 8 New York Times bestseller’s list. It has already sold something like four million copies, and it’s not slowing down.
Truthfully, I didn’t want to say anything about this book. But after being asked about it again and again on Facebook and in emails and at a conference, I’ve decided I need to say something.
J.I. Packer, author of Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God and other classics, is one of my favorite writers. God has used his book Knowing God in my life profoundly. It is still one of my top five books of all time.
