A New Year’s resolution from Philippians 3: “I want to know Christ”
There isn’t a better New Year’s resolution than what starts in the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:7-8.

God has his people everywhere. Many vocations are more important than football. But regardless of what it is, when God gives His people a platform to stand on, and a voice that can be heard, He expects them to represent Him faithfully.
I appreciated this passage from a sermon by Charles Haddon Spurgeon entitled "Daniel Facing the Lions' Den."

Last month I received this letter from a 10-year-old Canadian boy named Christian. He had read the Courageous novel and wanted to share with Alex and Stephen Kendrick and me what he had learned from it.
I love the Puritans for their emphasis on God's greatness and grace. Listen to this prayer of Thomas Reade.
As I’ve often said, A. W. Tozer is one of my favorite all-time authors. I love what he says here, and what I also love is that elsewhere He affirms God’s holiness, justice and wrath in uncompromising ways, then gives us this beautiful depiction of God’s love for His children, and His delight in us
I appreciate the thoughtful, biblical and Christ-centered insights of Pastor Tim Keller. I recommend his books, messages and online videos. Here’s something he wrote awhile back that deserves a wide audience.

Our dear friend and EPM board member Robin Green sent us this note with the following poem by John Piper, introduced by his wife Noel. Robin wrote, "This poem reminded me of the importance of finishing well. May we all be as well remembered!"

The Courageous movie opens in theaters this Friday, September 30. Please pray for the impact of the movie and go see it this opening weekend, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The more people show up opening weekend, the longer it will stay in the theaters and the more lives it will touch!
Our EPM office recently received this note, and I think it inadvertently suggests a strategy for reaching people with the gospel.
