One of the things I really love getting in the mail is a new translation of one of my books. They’ve been translated now into over 50 different languages. It’s a joy to see what God is doing in other cultures with books that I’ve written.
Since this book has been unavailable for twenty years, and yet most of it is as relevant as when it first came out, it seemed time for a resurrection, and a thorough update and revision. We’re republishing this because—not surprisingly—women are still under stress!
Last year I received a letter and DVD from Darcy DeLeon, who teaches at Temple Christian School in Lima, Ohio. Darcy and her team turned my novel Safely Home into a musical drama, which was performed by the school’s students last March. A lot of effort went into producing it, and I really appreciate it!
I just finished a short fiction project, a graphic novel (if you’re not familiar with the term, that’s an extended comic book form) that is going to be titled Eternity. It’s a story about the rich man and Lazarus from Luke 16.
Anticipating Heaven doesn’t eliminate life’s pain, but it lessens it and puts it in perspective. Meditating on God’s eternal promises is a great pain reliever. It reminds us that suffering and death are temporary conditions.
