The Romantic Rationalist: God, Life, and Imagination in the Work of C.S. Lewis

No writer has had greater impact on me than C. S. Lewis. I find both his fiction and nonfiction to be penetrating and life-shaping. That’s one of the reasons I’m excited to be speaking at this year’s Desiring God National Conference, “The Romantic Rationalist: God, Life, and Imagination in the Work of C.S. Lewis,” in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 27-29.

Nanci and I leave today for 12 days in Oxford and Cambridge where I'm teaching at the Oxbridge
I know some of you, like me, have been deeply touched by the Lord through the writings of C. S. Lewis. So I’m going to tell you about something we’re doing this summer, just so you’ll all know about it, and in case a small number of you may sense God’s leading to attend.
As I shared with those on
I'm honored to be one of the Friday seminar speakers for this year's Desiring God National Conference, which has the theme "Think: The Life of the Mind & the Love of God." After I speak on Friday, October 1 about "Difficult Truths & Deep Love: Pondering Sovereignty, Suffering, and the Promise of Heaven," Nanci and I will be staying to attend the featured weekend conference, October 2-3.
Nanci and I had a great time in Minneapolis this weekend. As the 3,500 who attended will attest, Desiring God Ministries knows how to put on a conference! Thanks especially to Scott Anderson who is the Events Director; he also did a great job last spring when we had the Desiring God Regional conference at our home church in—yes, no kidding—Boring, Oregon.
