Randy Alcorn's Blog: creation

Eagerly Anticipating the New Heavens to Come

HubbleAstronomy has been my hobby since childhood. Years before I came to know Christ, I was fascinated by the violent collisions of galaxies, explosions of stars, and implosions into neutron stars and black holes

The Wonders of our Creator and Savior

LilyI love the beauty even of a fallen creation, and I always think, “What is it going to look like when it is a redeemed creation, on the New Earth?”

I also love time lapse photography and great music, both of which are in this 2.5 minute video

Yellow Tangs, Part of God's Beautiful Creation

One of my favorite things to see when I've snorkeled is yellow Tangs hanging out with sea turtles. But I've never seen this many! Great photo someone sent me.

God’s Artistry in Giant Sea Turtles

turtle“O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.” Psalm 104:24

Yesterday we looked at reef fish. Today it’s turtles. Tomorrow I’m going to share an amazing ocean surprise God shared with me on our last day in Maui.

God’s Artistry in Reef Fish

FishNanci and I returned recently from a wonderful vacation, where we stayed at our friends’ place in Maui.

As I mentioned in a previous blog, one of my favorite activities in the world is snorkeling. It’s a profoundly spiritual experience for me to enjoy the wonders and beauties of God’s underwater world.

God's Creation under the Sea

FishWhen I think of the first glimpse of Heaven, I think of the first time I went snorkeling. It was absolutely breathtaking. There were thousands of fish of every shape and size and color, and just when you think you’ve seen the most beautiful creation, here comes another one.

Albert Mohler on the Importance of the Creation-Evolution Debate

GenesisLast year I led a group of men in a study of Francis Schaeffer’s classic Genesis in Space and Time, and Lee Strobel’s excellent The Case for a Creator. It is vital that we be aware of the importance of the biblical doctrine of creation. Also see the excellent chapter on creation in Doctrine, by Mark Driscoll and Gerry Breshears. Here are some significant thoughts from writer and thinker Al Mohler about the importance of this issue.
