Eagerly Anticipating the New Heavens to Come
Astronomy has been my hobby since childhood. Years before I came to know Christ, I was fascinated by the violent collisions of galaxies, explosions of stars, and implosions into neutron stars and black holes





I love the beauty even of a fallen creation, and I always think, “What is it going to look like when it is a redeemed creation, on the New Earth?”
“O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.” Psalm 104:24
Nanci and I returned recently from a wonderful vacation, where we stayed at our friends’ place in Maui.
When I think of the first glimpse of Heaven, I think of the first time I went snorkeling. It was absolutely breathtaking. There were thousands of fish of every shape and size and color, and just when you think you’ve seen the most beautiful creation, here comes another one.
