This short time lapse video shows the wonder of God’s creation and man’s creation. But remember, God is the Creator; man is what Tolkien called the sub-creator. Our creativity is derived from His, from being made in the image of the Creator.
Reading this story and seeing this art reminded me of what it means to be created in God’s image. And also what lies within us, including in the severely disabled, that glorifies God when we find creative ways to give it expression. Consider these passages, then read the story of Paul Smith.
For a long time Christians were reticent to enter the field of fiction writing. Although fiction had been popular in the secular field for a long time, it was sparse in Christian publishing. The popularity of authors Frank Peretti and then later Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins certainly opened up the door much wider for acceptance of Christian fiction.
