Randy Alcorn's Blog: divine appointments

Courageous and My Time in Atlanta

Stephen and Alex KendrickEarlier this month I said yes to writing a novel based on the screenplay of the new movie Courageous. Both the movie and novel will be released a year from now. The movie is being done by the Kendrick brothers, Stephen and Alex (pictured with me on the right), who produced Facing the Giants and Fireproof, and will be distributed by Sony.

Everyone We See Has a Story

Click-fila-ACheck out this video produced by a company I really respect, Chick-fil-A. I think it’s very moving. It reminds me of the divine appointments God gives us daily. It also encourages me to pray, even if briefly, for many people I see in passing and do not know.

It was as if we were assuming God is a Cosmic Easter Bunny who hides the eggs and maybe says "You're getting warmer," and sometimes we stumble onto them, but we never know whether we've found them all or not.

Yesterday was one of the most exhausting days of my life. I stood in front of a video camera nearly the whole day, answering questions about Heaven, covering nearly all the major subject areas addressed in my books.

Tyndale House Publishers hired a film company to produce a DVD to accompany my Heaven book; it’ll ...
