I’m not a big fan of Halloween, but God created dogs and pumpkins and artistic people, so… I’m Randy Alcorn, and I approve these pictures:

This story, by an unknown author, was ciruclated years ago. It is likely fictional, as many such stories are, but think of it as a parable.
A store owner was tacking a sign above his door that read "Puppies For Sale." Signs like that have a way of attracting small children and sure enough, a little boy appeared under the store owner's sign.
"How much are you going to sell the puppies for?" he asked. The store owner replied, "Anywhere from $30 to $50." The little boy reached in his pocket and pulled out some change.

Romance, cooperation, friendship, assisting your buddy in taking the initiative... it’s all there.
Why doesn’t God run the world, especially my world, like I want him to? The fact that He doesn’t leads some people to question his goodness.
Our problem is that we define goodness from our finite and fallen perspective, then criticize God for failing to be good in our eyes.
We love Moses, but ...
I grew up with a Golden Retriever, a great breed. When I was a boy, my golden, Champ, used to crawl in my sleeping bag when I spent the night in the back yard (watching the stars and reading comic books with a flashlight). Nanci and I love dogs. We enjoyed this video, and hope you do, too.

God is so gracious to give us animals. In Genesis 1 and 2, one of the first responsibilities given to the first man and woman was to care for the animals.
Throughout Scripture we read that animals praise God. Psalm 148 commands all of creation to praise the Lord, including the animals.
I shared briefly on Facebook what happened a couple of days ago, but wanted to blog about it now and add quite a few other thoughts and links.
