Denver the Guilty Dog
By now you may have seen Denver the guilty dog. Someone sent it to me last week. If you haven’t seen it, maybe even if you have, this two minutes is worth it.

Here are four images and captions I love. I’ve put them under the categories of love and friendship, regret, disappointment and self-doubt, and finally, melodrama.
This video was produced by Portland Christian School a couple of years ago, but I just saw it after my friend Dale Walker sent it to me. It features preschool children being asked about the Christmas story.
If you haven’t seen this video, it’ll make your day. I just watched it again as I took a brief break from final revisions on my book.
Think of it as God’s common grace at work in this world. In the midst of mundane pressures and cares, including yours and mine and those of commuters in Antwerp, Belgium, comes sheer delight. A gift. And all gifts are ultimately from Him, the Creator behind all that is creative, the Delight behind the delightful, the Good behind all goodness.
Let it remind you of God’s gifts, large and ...
Nanci is more football-crazy than I am, but we both really enjoy football season, and sort of hate to see it winding down as the Superbowl approaches. The national college championship game was played a week ago. Congratulations to the Florida Gators and quarterback Tim Tebow, named Most Valuable Player. If you would have told us three years ago that Nanci and I would become Gators fans we'd have said "no way." Nothing against the Gators, but Florida and Oregon, land of Beavers and Ducks, are geographical opposites, and in the past we haven't followed closely what happens ...
Hope you enjoy this video that was recorded during a break from a recent filming.
Okay, there is no reason for me to post this except that I want to. And I believe that God made us to laugh.

By the way, Christianaudio.com is offering Crazy Love by Francis Chan as their free audiobook download this month. I am listening to this now and really enjoying it. This is a product well worth the usual price, but it’s an amazing value at no cost!

My wife Nanci showed me this dog video. If you love dogs like we do, you’ll love this. Makes me smile and thank God for the wonders of His creation. When the dog in the video does what he was made to do, he pleases his master and glorifies his Creator. Psalm 148:10-13 puts it like this:
Beasts and all livestock,
creeping things and flying birds!
Kings of the earth and all peoples,
princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and maidens together,
old men and children!
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted.
On Friday two of our four wonderful grandsons spent the night, and we took them to their Saturday morning basketball game. Jake, the six year old scored 5-6 times, and scored last week in his first game. But his little brother Tyler, at 4 years old, scored his first competition basket ever Saturday. See this video I took.
God delights in his children’s enjoyment of one another. True, Christ alone is sufficient to meet all our needs. Yet, God has designed us for relationship not only with himself but also with others of our kind.
