What’s a Marriage? Does It Matter Whether There’s a Man and a Woman?
Mary Kassian answers the question of how a marriage is properly defined. I appreciate her thoughts.

Pat Robertson has said something so stunning, so at odds with the Word of God and the heart of our Savior, that when I heard he had said it I thought he had been misunderstood or misrepresented.
While researching a novel I’m writing based on the upcoming movie Courageous (from Sherwood Pictures), I recently read what I would call a GREAT book on parenting: Gospel-Powered Parenting: How the Gospel Shapes and Transforms Parenting, William P. Farley (Phillipsburg, NJ: P&R Publishing, 2009).
The video in this blog, "How Should Christian Couples Approach Family Planning?" is part 5 of my interview with Mark Driscoll. (Watch all the interview videos.) You might like to check out my book I referenced in the video, Does the Birth Control Pill Cause Abortions?, which is also available for free as a PDF in its entirety.
In this blog I've included part of a conversation between two Christians who have different viewpoints on the issue of birth control, as well as a link to the complete article
In light of the Fourth of July celebration of the founding of our country, I wanted to again bring attention to The Manhattan Declaration and encourage you to check out their website, manhattandeclaration.org. As I wrote in the blog I posted last year about the Declaration, I do not participate in many things like this, but both the content and the tone of this statement is something I wish to affirm. (And whether you're married or not, sexual purity is inseparable from a committed Christian life. You want to know God’s will? You don’t have to wonder. Here it is, in 1 Thess. 4:3: “It is God’s will that you ...
I grew up without Christ and without the church. When I was in high school I attended a church for the wrong reason—to see a girl I'd met. But God can use even our wrong motives for his right purposes. (In fact, years later that girl became my wife!) At that church and in the youth group there, I heard the gospel for the first time.
As I mentioned a week ago in my blog on giving and debt, I'm going to set aside Wednesday blogs specifically for question and answers. If you have a topic you'd like to see me address in a Q & A, feel free to post that in the comments. Because it is a once a week blog, I won't be able to get to every topic, but I'd enjoy hearing what some of you are wondering about.
This week I'm continuing to address questions about giving that I answered on the Revive Our Hearts website. (Related ...
This is wedding season and I'm sure a lot of you will be going to weddings over the next three months. If you're married, be sure to use this opportunity to think in terms of cultivating and preserving your marriage.
