Serving Christ and Saving Unborn Lives

BabyI served on the board of the first crisis pregnancy center in the Pacific Northwest back in the 1980s, so the work that Pregnancy Resource Centers across the country (under the umbrella of the national organization, Care Net) are doing to save unborn babies is close to my heart.

Recently the Pregnancy Resource Centers of Greater Portland celebrated their 25th anniversary, and they asked me to record a short message for their celebration, which I was happy to do. What a great ministry they have. Since 1984, Portland's PRCs have helped more than 160,000 women and teens who were unprepared for pregnancy, or who faced the possibility of a pregnancy.

The Federal Healthcare Reform Bill and Its Impact on the Lives of Unborn Children and Their Moms

8-week unborn babyI don't often address political issues in my blog, but in light of the impact this bill could have on the prolife movement, I felt it was important to share. My friend Larry Gadbaugh, CEO of Pregnancy Resource Centers of Greater Portland, sent the following email to their constituents explaining the impact that the current federal healthcare reform bill could have on the lives of countless unborn children and their moms, and the pregnancy resource centers who serve them.
