Several weeks ago we asked blog readers to submit questions for me to answer. I’ll be posting the video answers to the questions as blogs over the course of the next few weeks. One of the questions asked was: What do you think about "Christianese"?

Another question I was asked by a reader is, How should Christians respond to theories of UFOs and other unexplainable phenomena? People around the world have seen and experienced something. But what is the something? How can a Christian respond to these reports when conversing with others, particularly those who are not Christians?
Those of you who enjoy the resources from Desiring God (a site we highly recommend) are probably familiar with “Ask Pastor John”, where John Piper answers questions on video. That’s our inspiration for this feature: we’re inviting those of you who read Randy’s blog to submit your question for him in a comment on this post. We’ll choose three of those questions
Today's blog is a combination of several short answers to questions I've responded to lately. Some are questions I've received on my Facebook page. Though I can't possibly respond to every question that comes in, I do read each and every comment and question with interest and appreciation. I just wish I could reply to more of them. Maybe on the New Earth! (If you're interested in reading other questions and answers, the EPM website has many more Q & As, articles, and resources.)
I grew up without Christ and without the church. When I was in high school I attended a church for the wrong reason—to see a girl I'd met. But God can use even our wrong motives for his right purposes. (In fact, years later that girl became my wife!) At that church and in the youth group there, I heard the gospel for the first time.
