Do you have any advice for Christian conduct as a guideline for those in ministry?
What you don’t want in Christian ministry is check-off-the-boxes Christian morality in which spirituality is measured in terms of a list of do’s and don’ts. This has happened in countless churches and Christian ministries, so any effort to avoid and resist it is worthwhile.
What I think about myself is important. We all have a self-image. But not all self-images are equally valid.
Years ago, I determined that I wanted to write a book on the importance of gratitude in the Christian life. But not long ago I read Nancy Leigh DeMoss’s book Choosing Gratitude and realized I no longer needed to!
I have dealt with many of the things that you may feel you are dealing with right now, too – like, why did God let this happen? Will God heal me? Is healing a matter of having enough faith and believing it’s true?...
...I had to realize that because of my relationship with Christ, healing was not based on me having enough faith or asking God in just the right way to heal me. No matter what happened, God loves me, has a plan for me, and is in control.
