Scripture seems to define marriage as "two becoming one flesh", but we're also often taught that God designed sex only for the within context of marriage. How does just signing a paper to be married make it right before God to have sex?
(Jim Swanson, M.Th, MSM., EPM volunteer)
The first marriage had no paper license and no human community witness. God was the witness to the union of two souls. The act of marriage to consummate that state was sex. The basis of the marriage was the very act ...
An alarming number of children from Christian homes grow up grasping for every item they can lay
their hands on. Children raised in such an atmosphere—which includes most children in America—are afflicted with a killer disease called “affluenza.”

Focus on the Family has a new book out titled The 21 Day Dad’s Challenge: Three Weeks to a Better Relationship with your Kids. After watching Courageous, men all over the U.S. will emerge from movie theaters wanting to be better dads, and this is an excellent next step.

In last Friday's post, I contrasted Robertson McQuilkin’s dedication to care for his wife Muriel, stricken with Alzheimer’s, to Pat Robertson’s cruel answer to a question regarding a man having an affair that if he’s going to do anything, he should divorce his wife who has Alzheimer’s.

What is your opinion of tubal ligations? My husband and my mother both think I should have my tubes tied. I am 36 years old and have only one son who is nine. Since his birth I've had many miscarriages; his birth was a miracle. I am due with another son and am perplexed now as to whether or not I should have my tubes tied after his birth. I’m concerned about more miscarriages and I don’t know if I want more children or not. I don't want to do anything with selfish motives. I can't decide what to do. —C.K.
