In this two and a half minute clip, Randy Alcorn answers the question, "When did you put your faith in Christ?"

Is Heaven Our Default Destination…or Is Hell?

The safest road to hell is the gradual one—the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts. — C. S. Lewis

Is it possible for my Jewish ancestors to be in Heaven?

I believe Christ died for all people, Jew and Gentile (1 John 2:2) I believe He brought His salvation first to the Jews, then to the Gentiles (Romans 1:16).

It’s Not in the Book!

Ruthanna MetzgarAs a professional singer, it was not unusual to be asked to sing for a wedding, but it was a bit unusual to sing for the wedding of a millionaire. I knew the wedding would be picture-perfect and was pleased to be able to participate, but when the invitation to the reception arrived I knew it would be something exceptional.

You are made for a person and a place. Jesus is the person. Heaven is the place.

If a person enters into a relationship with Jesus Christ, shouldn’t there begin a transformation in their life?

If a person enters into a relationship with Jesus Christ, shouldn’t there begin a transformation in their life? Yet I read in your book The Grace & Truth Paradox and have been told by other people that “good works don’t save us, and bad works won’t kill us.” I strongly believe in eternal security, but I fear that some are going to stand face to face with the Creator of the universe and he will say, “I never knew you.”

If no one seeks after God unless God draws him and grace is always effective, then how can some folks be in the church (the tares) and not be saved?

I think the key may be that there are different kinds of seeking spoken of in Scripture.

They may be sincere, and they may be seeking and they certainly may do any number of works in the name of their religion. They may even live as “better people” as a result. But not only are they not saved (they don’t know Jesus), they are not even “true Mormons” or “true Muslims,” but only ...

If we are covered in the blood of Jesus, cleansed from unrighteousness by faith, how does Revelation 21:8 fit with the overall gospel?

“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

crossThis verse must be understood by taking into account the verses around it, and the book as a whole. Read the end of Revelation 19 to 21:8. Whole armies are killed and the beast and false prophet ...

How do we not “live in sin” and how is it measured?

Question from a reader:

I was reading your section on what EPM believes and I came across the section on salvation. I get a bit confused concerning this part:

“It is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation, but the Word clearly teaches the incompatibility of professing faith while living in sin (1 John 3:9), and forbids any spiritual presumption that minimizes the importance of the holy works God has called us to do (Eph. 2:8-10).”

How do we not “live in sin” and how is it measured? I guess I have the ...
