Would you consider praying about serving with ACTION in a specific need that God would use you to fill. This is the position of International Ministry Assistant to Nelson Reed in Manila, in Asia and the world. Nelson Reed is the International Director Designate to assume full responsibilities in March 2007.

We are praying for two, but at least one, International Ministry Assistants to serve with Nelson on the International Team.

You would be based in Manila and travel with Nelson throughout Asia as often as possible. You would need to trust the Lord for your support as well as your ministry and travel funds, as all ACTION missionaries do.

You will need a laptop computer and work on specific projects with Nelson to serve the International Team beginning in Asia (Cambodia, China, India, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Viet Nam).

While in the Philippines you would be able to minister in local churches with which we work closely, such as Christ's Commission Fellowship (main church of 10,000 with smaller daughter churches of 2500). We also work very closely Greenhills Christian Fellowship (Conservative Baptist) which has 5000 to 7000 people as well as approximately 15 daughter churches.

Our next candidate orientation is April 18-21. I know this soon, but we have an urgent need you could fill. If not this year, perhaps sometime next year.

Both assistants will serve in Manila, Philippines. One, or possibly both, would be responsible to travel with Mr. Reed in ministry throughout Asia, specifically, the Philippines, China, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia and possibly Viet Nam.

Both opportunities require a great deal of computer knowledge and experience and will be responsible to assist in communication, research, discipleship, evangelism, and must be willing to work hard.

Each ministry assistant would apply to ACTION as missionaries and be responsible to trust the Lord for their complete support and ministry funds, which would include funds for travel.

All ACTION missionaries have the same support level, those who are married and have children need to raise more.

There are 75,000 to 100,000 children aged 3 to 18 on the streets of Manila, Philippines. Action International Ministries (ACTION) is trusting God for up to 20 new missionaries to help take the gospel and compassionate care to these needy children.

Perhaps you would consider a commitment of three years for ministry in Manila — the first year to learn the language and culture of the Philippines, then the next two years for evangelism, discipleship, and development of street children.

You would be trained in all aspects of ministry to these needy children, which would prepare you for future service anywhere. Ministry with ACTION to Street Children is through street work, camps, medical and emergency outreach, literature production, midnight gospel outreach, research, discipleship, vocational training, and juvenile jail visitation.

As all ACTION missionaries, you would trust God for your personal support and funds for ministry at a level set by the ACTION Team. As an ACTION missionary to street children you would be carefully screened and need to be highly recommended by your evangelical church.

Please pray for many additional missionaries (at least 20, ages 20 to 60) to serve with ACTION in Manila among the thousands of needy street children — one million throughout the Philippines.

Workers needed on the Street Impact Team in Manila are Bible teachers, camp workers, disciplers, doctors, evangelists, jail workers, literature producers, nurses, office/business managers, researchers, and vocational teachers.

The ACTION Latin America team and leaders say it is time to renew efforts, trust the Lord, pull out all the stops and do what we can to recruit additional missionaries for Mexico. Paul said, "I labor but according to His power" (Colossians 1:29). There are over 100 million people in Mexico, with at least 90 million not knowing Christ nor understanding the gospel!
