Interview with Randy Alcorn on Prolife Issues

ProLife Answers to ProChoice ArgumentsRandy Alcorn, author of the best selling ProLife Answers to ProChoice Arguments, talks about the future of the prolife movement and the teenager’s place in it.

How did you get involved in the prolife movement?

Sixteen years ago I started a church with another pastor. After five years or so, I started developing a real interest in the prolife movement. What really got me involved in it was being asked to represent the churches on the board of a new Crisis Pregnancy Center opening during that time. We also opened up our home to a pregnant 18-year-old girl. She ...

Is America More Prolife Than We’ve Been Led to Believe?

American FlagIf Roe v. Wade is reversed by the Supreme Court, abortion will still be widely available in America, since many states will legalize it immediately. However, states will at least have the freedom to choose, which they have not had since 1973. With all the talk about the possible dismantling of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court, pro abortion advocates everywhere are crying, “The anti abortion beliefs of the minority shouldn’t be imposed on the majority of Americans.” But what do Americans really believe about abortion? We know the media is dominantly pro abortion, but what about average citizens?

Wilberforce: Refusing To Give Up

Shortly after his conversion to Christ in 1784, British parliamentarian William Wilberforce began his battle for the black man’s freedom.

A Prayer 20 Years After Roe v. Wade

This originally appeared in the January-February 1994 issue of Eternal Perspectives, EPM's quarterly newsletter.

Our Father in Heaven, we thank you that you are the Sovereign Lord of the Universe. That no bird falls from the sky without your knowledge. That no man rises to power without your permission. We thank you that the king’s heart is in your hand, and you can turn it however you wish.

We pray for our president elect. First, we pray for his repentance and enlightenment. We pray for an awareness that he will be held accountable for all citizens of this ...

Parental Consent: Through the Eyes of a Post-Abortion Teen

I am in favor of the parental notification bill because of the irreparable damage I experienced due to the decisions I made as a minor. When I was 17 years old, I determined that I was mature enough to make my own decisions, and didn’t need my parents’ advice on how to live my life.

Our Bodies, Our Souls: Rethinking pro-choice rhetoric

I had an abortion when I was a single mother and my daughter was 2 years old. I would do it again. But you know the Greek myths when you kill a relative you are pursued by furies? For months, it was as if baby furies were pursuing me.

An Interview with Norma McCorvey, The “Roe” of “Roe vs. Wade”and Sandra Cano, the “Doe” of “Doe vs. Bolton”

I would never have thought that I'd be sitting here with "Jane Roe" and "Mary Doe," the two people that in 1973 we thought were responsible for this disaster of abortion in our country.

Testimony Before the FDA

Text of Oral Testimony given before the Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee of the Food and Drug Administration at its Public Meeting of July 19, 1996.

Abortion Does Not Liberate Women

womanNote from Randy: The following article is from Feminists for Life (www.feministsforlife.org) I don’t agree with everything in this article (particularly the implicit male-bashing), but it demonstrates that it’s possible to argue against abortion even from a committed feminist perspective.

Most modern feminists have made easy access to abortion the very symbol of liberation for women. The literature of the National Organization for Women repeatedly refers to abortion as the most fundamental right of women—more important even than the right to vote and the right to free speech. NOW has designated the protection of abortion ...

Open-Minded Tolerance?

After reading my book ProLife Answers to Pro-Choice Arguments, someone sent me an editorial from Spectrum, the student newspaper of the University of New York at Buffalo. It’s written by student Michelle Goldberg. I’ve had to delete some of the more profane language, but you’ll get the drift. It’s a good reminder of the depth of the evil one’s deception in this arena. Pray for Michelle and many like her.

“Abortion on Demand and Without Apology.” Of all the catchy slogans of the pro-choice movement, this simple yet elegant bumper sticker sums up my position the best.
