The Christian life is not based on avoiding the truth but on hearing and submitting to it. The greatest kindness we can offer each other is the truth.
In this two and a half minute audio clip, Randy Alcorn answers the question,"Does God allow us to communicate with those in Heaven through dreams and visions?"
I have spent hours on the phone in the last week with End of the Spear producers Mart Green and Steve Saint.
THE POWER OF MY WORDS:
For bad:
The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. But no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison (James 3:6, 8).
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor (Proverbs 11:9).
The words of a gossip are like choice morsels, they go down to a man's inmost parts (Proverbs 18:8).
For good ...
Complaining is unbecoming of the true Christian and yet we are proficient at it. The cure is found in these verses. In Christ we are never hopeless or forsaken. Every trial has meaning. Meditate on this cure in order to change both your language and your heart.
