You can’t imagine the reaction of people as I read certain passages from Heaven during our Sunday morning meeting at the Triad Handicapped Conference. There were gurgles and squeals and hand clapping and arms flailing.
Unlike God and the angels, who are in essence spirits (John 4:24; Hebrews 1:14), human beings are by nature both spiritual and physical (Genesis 2:7).
The physical resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of redemption—both for mankind and for the earth. Indeed, without Christ’s resurrection and what it means—an eternal future for fully restored human beings dwelling on a fully restored Earth—there is no Christianity.
