Doreen Button
Doreen Button began working as a volunteer for EPM in 2006, helping Randy with Deception and 50 Days of Heaven. Her first assignment, after being asked to join the staff in October 2008, was to organize Randy’s notes (several hundred pages!) into what eventually became If God is Good—Faith in the Midst of Suffering and Evil. Editing Randy’s books, articles, and the occasional sermon is her main responsibility. Her favorite assignments include trimming word count, compiling Randy’s work to be used in new ways, and choosing appropriate Scripture.
Being blessed with a job that allows her to work from home and to immerse herself in God’s Word, and the writing of godly men like Randy Alcorn, C.H. Spurgeon, A.W. Tozer, C.S. Lewis and others is something Doreen is grateful for every workday.
Doreen lives with her husband and a variety of critters (domestic and otherwise) on small acreage in the hills east of the Sandy River. She loves the fresh air and taking long walks with her American Bulldog in the woods and fields close to home. Hobbies, in addition to constantly reading, are travelling, woodcarving, re-decorating the house, and watching Nascar races and football. Mike and Doreen have three children, twin sons—one married and pursuing a career in Podiatry, one engaged and earning a degree in electrical engineering/physics; and a daughter who works full-time for Legacy Health Systems.
