As I shared with those on Facebook, Nanci and I had an amazing few days at the Desiring God conference in Minneapolis. Francis Chan's message on Saturday night was anointed by God. Nanci and I were worshiping the Lord standing between the Pipers and the Chans, and hoping to get some sanctification by association. :) Seriously, it was a Christ-exalting evening.

You’ve got to access the Francis Chan message, titled “Think Hard, Stay Humble: The Life of the Mind and the Peril of Pride.” Wow. The other messages from the conference are well worth listening to and watching, too.

On Friday afternoon, I spoke on “Difficult Truths & Deep Love: Pondering Sovereignty, Suffering, and the Promise of Heaven.” (We'll post the audio on the EPM website as soon as we have it.) I also did a book signing on Friday, which was lots of fun.

If you've never been to a Desiring God Conference, do what you can to get to one. The hundreds of great books alone are worth the trip!
