Our Call to Care for Orphans

True, not every family is called to adopt or to provide foster care. But should the people of God as a whole be challenged to get involved and support other people in the body of Christ who are? I would say they absolutely should support not only those in their own church who wish to adopt or foster, but also those in other churches and other places.

“The Least of These”: Caring for The Environment of God’s Earth

Child with clean waterWhy have so many Christians historically shied away from creation care? I think the answer is that  concern for the environment is generally regarded as part of the liberal agenda.

The Guardian Project

The Guardian ProjectEternal Perspective Ministries is enthusiastically supporting the Guardian Project to help provide the first ever mobile ultrasound unit in Oregon to reach abortion-minded moms.

We encourage you to pray for this project, sign yourself and your family up for the walk or run (and tell others about it), and give generously to help save the lives of innocent children and give much-needed help to their mothers. We believe it's really going to make a difference.

Why Pro-Life?: Addressing the Defining Issue of Our Age

Why Pro-Life?My book Why Pro-Life? was first published in 2004. With 300,000 English copies in print, and translations in 18 other languages, I have been amazed at its far-reaching impact. But in the eight years since the book was first written, technology has changed, statistics have become dated, and there are new resources, stories, and discussions. Election 2012 Part 4: Do the Candidates Have Different Positions on Abortion and Does it Matter?

Baby in womb at five monthsNow I come to the subject of abortion. And while it is not the only issue, it’s vitally important.  I recently addressed the question, “Shouldn’t we care about other social injustices besides abortion?” My answer was an emphatic yes, which is why our ministry gives financial resources, time and attention to fighting these other injustices. But when I bring it up, many Christians refuse to stay on track with the issue of abortion.

Questions for Our Pro-Abortion Friends, Church Leaders, and Politicians

Kevin DeYoung is a sharp young pastor and writer who I greatly appreciate. This blog is worth reading and contemplating.

Alexander Tsiaras: Conception to birth -- visualizedA mathematician discusses and illustrates the extraordinary process of how a human being is conceived and develops. Fascinating.

George Verwer: Prolife Hero

George VerwerI have the greatest appreciation for George Verwer, founder of Operation Mobilization (OM) and an advocate for worldwide missions. Some years ago George contacted me, saying God had laid on his heart the plight of unborn children. I was grateful to hear this, but wasn’t sure whether this vision would last given the fact that many people, Christians included, object to hearing about it. Well, George is a man who listens to God rather than voices that don’t tolerate speakers who address abortion.
