ICRS Christian Booksellers Convention 2008

ICRS

Every July I leave Oregon at one of its most beautiful times of the year, to spend a week of my life in a very hot place, such as Atlanta, or this year, Orlando.

I'm glad to do it, just wish it was in January!

First, I go to a retreat for Christian novelists. There are about two hundred of us in an online group, and about sixty of us enjoy seeing each other face to face once a year before the Christian booksellers convention.

Tell Me About Heaven: Just Released

Tell Me About HeavenTell Me About Heaven is about a grandfather helping ten-year-old Jake come to terms with his grandmother’s death. Jake has all kinds of questions about Heaven, and what his grandma is doing and whether she remembers him. When he spends two weeks at his grandfather’s house out in the country, they do things together and talk about Heaven as they go. (It’s a low-key story. No shootings, pirates or Bruce Willis taking down a helicopter with a car.)
