Are Grace and Truth Contradictory?

Are Grace and Truth Contradictory? from Randy Alcorn on Vimeo.

In October of 2012 Randy spent a weekend at The Cove, The Billy Graham Association's conference center in Asheville, NC. Over the weekend Randy was interviewed by Dr. John Akers on the theme "Four Central Truths of A Biblical Worldview."
Now that grace and truth have been defined, John points out that the title of the book is "The Grace and Truth Paradox" and asks Randy if the term paradox means that grace and truth are contradictory to each other. Randy clarifies that a the word "paradox" technical does not mean that two things are actually contradictory but that they appear to be contradictory. He explains that there are many truths in Scripture that appear to be contradictory. Often when we try to resolve these ourselves we arrive at conclusions that are untrue. Though grace and truth appear to contradict sometimes they really don't and should cause us to worship God. For more information about “The Grace and Truth Paradox” please visit
