I have never said yes to endorsing a book, much less to writing its foreword, unless I believed in it. I anticipated Why, O God?: Suffering and Disability in the Bible and the Church, edited by Larry Waters and Roy Zuck, would be good, but I am pleased to find it exceptional.
For those of you who have been patiently waiting for a new Randy Alcorn novel, you’re in for a treat: his new novel Courageous, written with Alex and Stephen Kendrick, released August 1!
In the past few months, I have been repeatedly asked about the phenomenally popular book Heaven is For Real. This book was again number 1 on the May 8 New York Times bestseller’s list. It has already sold something like four million copies, and it’s not slowing down.
Truthfully, I didn’t want to say anything about this book. But after being asked about it again and again on Facebook and in emails and at a conference, I’ve decided I need to say something.
This is my third and possibly last blog on this subject. But given its importance to the gospel of Christ and the health of Christ’s body, I make no promises.
Someone placed my Friday blog on their site. A journalist who read it posted this response: “Alcorn's piece has a pretty major error of fact in the post. It's in this statement: ‘every human being will ultimately be saved, and that none will experience Hell.’ That's not what Bell says in Love Wins.”

Author Edgar Andrews presents compelling arguments that challenge the prevailing mechanistic worldviews. His good humor helps him present weighty concepts and makes them easier to grasp.
I was recently asked the following question on Facebook:
"I had a woman come to my door today, wanting to share the gospel. Why is it that even though I know what I believe and why I believe it, that it is so hard to share with others? She was a Jehovah's Witness, and asked if she could come back to share a scripture again. I told her yes. I will be better prepared next time, but how do I become better prepared?"
