Book Giveaway of the Month: Heaven
The Heaven giveaway is now closed. Check back on May 12 for the next giveaway.
I’ve been looking forward to featuring Heaven as this month’s book giveaway simply because of the many wonderful reader responses to the book we’ve received such as this recent one:
On Valentine's Day 2007 my husband of 25 years died very unexpectedly on his 50th birthday. As you can imagine I was and still am devastated. His journey to our eternal home led me in search of a book so that I might study and become more knowledgeable about Heaven. At a Mardel's book store a wonderful Christian employee led me to your book Heaven. He prayed with me as he could tell how sorrowful and grief stricken I was. It was a wonderful experience. I immediately began to read your book. What a comfort! I cannot tell you how it helped me.
Here’s Randy talking about what the responses to the Heaven book have meant to him.
The deadline to enter the Heaven giveaway is Friday, April 25, and 3 randomly drawn winners will be announced in a blog post on Monday, April 28.
How to enter the giveaway: to enter for your chance to win, please leave a comment on this post. Please be sure to include your contact information (a blog, or an e-mail address). Need help posting a comment? You can also contact me for assistance at email@example.com
So if you haven’t read Heaven yet, or even if you have, I hope you’ll enter for the chance to win a signed copy. And if you’d like to share the book, for the month of April, Heaven is also on sale at the Eternal Perspective Ministries website for $14.99 (retail price $24.99, normally $17.49 from EPM). Each copy will contain a bookplate signed by Randy.
It’s the perfect time to buy Heaven as a gift for Mother’s Day. For every copy sold, $7 will be specifically designated to World Relief Mozambique’s 2008 Child and Maternal Health Program. You’ll be getting a gift for mom, and helping out needy moms and their children in Mozambique.
Tragically, nearly one fifth of Mozambique’s children die needlessly before they reach their fifth birthday. But World Relief workers and volunteers are helping village women to understand the causes of illnesses and make changes to keep their children healthy. Faith and trust in a loving God is growing as mothers learn to practice better care for their families.
We’re especially excited to help these moms because two private contributors to World Relief have announced they will match—dollar for dollar—the first $50,000 given to the Mozambique program!
If you would like to donate further funds to World Relief, you may send your contribution to EPM and 100% will be given to the designated ministry.
