Christoplatonism—there’s a word that you don’t hear every day. It’s actually a word that I made up (probably the only word I’ve ever made up!) and used in my comprehensive Heaven book to speak of the Christianized philosophy of Plato.

Randy Alcorn talks about the concept of Christoplatonism and the influence of Platonic thought on modern Christianity. Even today the idea remains that we must shed our flesh (body) to become glorified and enter the dwelling place of God. Randy explains why Christoplatonism is not supported by the Bible.
