I’m a little taken aback that so many Christians are utterly shocked only because of the fact that this man killed some babies after they were born instead of a minute, week, month or three months earlier. As if that makes the slightest difference to the babies or to God.

I must say that while I agree this is all horrific, in fact I am not shocked about it. Why? Because I already knew what was going on in abortion clinics.

If we used the same logic of separation of church and state, we would not have laws against killing adults either, since the Bible says "Thou shalt not murder."

Across the nation, everyone's talking about the killing of George Tiller, the infamous abortionist who ran the late-term abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas. On Sunday May 31, 2009, Tiller was shot to death while serving as an usher at the Sunday morning service at his church. 

Not surprisingly God and suffering were prominent in the commemorations of 9/11. But missing from most was the observation that there were greater horrors in 2001. This is not to minimize the pain of 9/11 but to sharpen the problem of suffering.
