These are some thoughtful back-to-school prayers from Melissa Kruger with The Gospel Coalition. May they serve as reminders to pray for the children in our lives.

As Randy has written elsewhere, "What matters isn't what someone else says, but what the Bible says." So Catholic theology may get aspects of this right and others wrong (and of course, we all need to be humble enough to check our theology against Scripture)

I received this letter from a friend, Andre, who is a pastor in Russia. It’s a matter of great concern.

“And pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel” (Ephesians 6:19, NASB).

A pastor once shared a heartbreaking story about a post-abortive woman he had counseled. As she was leaving his office, he said “Can I ask you a question? If there would have been anyone outside the clinic when you went to get your abortion, what would you have done?”

Create interest in mission—invite missionaries, have a world map in the church hall, mission information, adopt an unreached people group (prayer, info).
