Randy Alcorn

I haven’t met many people more convinced of God’s goodness than David O’Brien. He experienced a lifetime of serious afflictions that many consider senseless evil, but he saw them as tools in the hands of a good God.

Over nearly four decades in my church (a church that has always taught and emphasized God’s Word), I’ve seen a noticeable, even startling, reduction in the average person’s grasp of biblical truth.

As C. S. Lewis expressed in his space trilogy, we have become “bent” (sinful) versions of what God intended. Your deceitfulness, laziness, lust, deafness, disability (including lost limbs), and disease are not the real you.
