In many conversations over the last few years I’ve said to people, “If God had given me a vote on whether or not there is a hell, honestly I would have voted against it. But that is not a point of pride, it is a confession."

I’m writing this while returning from ICRS, the annual Christian book convention. I’m sitting in the Atlanta airport, reflecting on some of my conversations the past four days.

I have been rereading C. S. Lewis’s God in the Dock, a collection of his essays. Actually, I’ve been listening to the audio, sent to me by the wonderful folks at christianaudio.com. I love it.

In this two and a half minute clip, Randy talks about how God’s grace has actually raised the bar of standards for the Christian life, but at the same time God has empowered us to live a life focused on Christ in order to jump that bar. (from Desiring God's Don't Waste Your Life)

One of my favorite things to see when I've snorkeled is yellow Tangs hanging out with sea turtles. But I've never seen this many! Great photo someone sent me.

Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”

Nearly every false doctrine has a true component hidden in it that gets twisted and perverted. We need to understand that it’s not only Malachi 3 where God says He will provide for the faithful giver.

Question from a reader: You quote from C.S. Lewis in your books often. I like Lewis too, but now I'm hearing that he's not biblical. I recently watched an online video that said he was a universalist. What do you think?

World Magazine editor-in-chief Marvin Olasky recently named two co-books of the year, both of which refute theistic evolution: Should Christians Embrace Evolution? and God and Evolution.
