Jesus: The Center of our Faith
Jesus is the center of our faith. These verses are evidence that true belief in God must include believing in Jesus Christ.
These verses originally appeared as a graphic page design in the Spring 2012 issue of Eternal Perspectives magazine. It is available in that full-page graphic format by clicking the download link above.
“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.”
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
…that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.”
“I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.”
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.”
“Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
“Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father living in me, who is doing his work.”
“He who hates me hates my Father as well.”
II Corinthians 4:4
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.
I Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men.
…but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.
Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.
I John 5:1
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.
