The following are my message notes from the Good Shepherd Community Church services of January 18 and 19, 1997. Pastors and all others communicating on this subject are welcome to use this material.

Years ago I was given an amazing opportunity to address three thousand people, most of them high school students, on the subject of abortion. 

The first time 7-year-old Emily Bausch met Norma McCorvey, she had no idea she had come face to face with an icon of the pro-abortion movement—”Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade. 

Lincoln saw that slavery's proponents were using Brown's extremism as an excuse to stop national protest against the obscenity of slavery and to intimidate his party. 

Not one word of conversation was exchanged between her and the driver of the bumper sticker-bearing car, but at a glance her life was changed and her baby saved....

If we remember that God loves us, and that we can love others as He loves us, then America can become a sign of peace for the world.

We confess that we are sometimes weary of living in a world where right is called wrong and wrong is called right.

“Rescuing” is a united action in which people peacefully place their bodies in front of the entrances of an abortion clinic. The purpose is to prevent access to the clinic, and to thereby save the lives of unborn children who would otherwise be killed shortly after their mothers enter the building.
