Heaven

In the most comprehensive and definitive book on Heaven to date, Randy invites you to picture Heaven the way Scripture describes it.

Have you ever wondered . . .

What is Heaven really going to be like?
What will we look like?
What will we do every day?
Won't Heaven get boring after a while?

We all have questions about what Heaven will be like, and after twenty-five years of extensive research, Dr. Randy Alcorn has the answers.

In the most comprehensive and definitive book on Heaven to date, Randy invites you to picture Heaven the way Scripture describes it—a bright, vibrant, and physical New Earth, free from sin, suffering, and death, and brimming with Christ's presence, wondrous natural beauty, and the richness of human culture as God intended it.

God has put eternity in our hearts. Now, Randy Alcorn brings eternity to light in a way that will surprise you, spark your imagination, and change how you live today.

If you've always thought of Heaven as a realm of disembodied spirits, clouds, and eternal harp strumming, you're in for a wonderful surprise.

This is a book about real people with real bodies enjoying close relationships with God and each other, eating, drinking, working, playing, traveling, worshiping, and discovering on a New Earth. Earth as God created it. Earth as he intended it to be.

And the next time you hear someone say, "We can't begin to imagine what Heaven will be like," you will be able to tell them, "I can."

This is an outstanding book! I began searching for answers after my wife transitioned to Heaven after an 18 year battle with breast cancer. I knew the Bible said we would be reunited, but what did that really mean. What would we do? Would we recognize each other? Would would our relationship be like? All these questions and many more were discussed and answered in the book.
I was so enthused about the book, that I led a seven week Bible study at our Chapel on the subject of Heaven using the Heaven DVD. The study raised many questions and generated a lot of discussion and excitement. The concept of Heaven being a real physical place with real physical people and animals seemed to generate the most discussion and questions.

This study series of Heaven has changed my life. I have such a better perspective of what and why I am here now. I can feel the "things" of this world take a back seat as I am now able to have laser focus on why we are here and what we are to do. God has used this study to give me the "meat" I asked for one day in a prayer, I had felt like I was drowning in milk, too may pastors out there are afraid to broach the subject of our real home...It is exciting, to know......Heaven is NOT dull or boring, we will be forever on THIS earth! It will change yes, it will be restored to its originial form but we will remember what we learned during this time on earth to use for the Glory of a Living and wonderful God when we all arrive at our final destiny........Heaven on Earth.

My brother passed away very suddenly six months ago. It has been so hard, but I've gained some peace in knowing that he is with Jesus, having lived his life for Him here. Over the last few months my mind has filled with questions about Jim and heaven - some seemingly profound, others embarrasingly "silly." I shared my thoughts and questions with others who reacted with raised eyebrows and "wise" responses. While driving home one evening, I asked God for His peace in the matter of these questions. Shortly afterwards I decided to listen to a Christian talk radio station that a friend had recommended a few weeks earlier. The first words out of the radio were "Have you ever wondered about heaven?...Here in our studio we have Randy Alcorn, author of the book, Heaven..." :) I ended up buying the book and find it very interesting and encouraging, and faithful to Scripture. How loving is our God who sees our tears and brings comfort through the work of others.

I have read "Heaven" twice, just finishing the second time. I have recommended this book to many in hopes that they too can get a glimpse of where we're going! It makes me smile as I read, realizing that Heaven on the New Earth will be more than I ever hoped to imagine it would be. I'm excited about it, happy to know there will be things to do, people to meet and adventures to share. I have always wanted a grand piano. Maybe God has one waiting for me there! This book asks several times, "why not?" Well, that's what I want to know. There's no reason I can think of that God can't or won't do any number of awesome things during eternity. Things we can't even think of in this state of existence. Thanks, Randy, for a truly eye-opening book.
