When a mother carries a child in her womb, she is carrying her own child who is receiving nutrients from her, not a random stranger in need of a bone marrow transplant (even then, someone giving their bone marrow to save a stranger’s life would be widely applauded and seen as a wonderful thing). A pregnant woman has not yet seen her baby’s face and heard her baby’s cries, but they are just as real and precious inside the womb as outside.

It’s not so much the burdens themselves that automatically lead to reward. It’s our heart response to them that matters: the character-byproducts produced and the heart of faith that trusts Jesus even when things don’t make sense from our perspective.

It's important to remember there is a big distinction between animals and people, even when it comes to euthanasia. Human beings are uniquely made in God’s image and although animals are a beloved creation, they are not.

A friend shared a quote on social media that said, “Banning abortion is banning equality. Men break condoms, have one-night stands with strangers, change their mind about parenthood, etc. Forcing a woman to follow-through while men are incapable of the same physical accountability is the epitome of sexism.” Can you provide some solid resources to help me respond?

It might be helpful to explore deeper into why you feel afraid to meet Jesus. Is there fear that Jesus will reject you? Do you wonder if He won’t welcome you? That seeing Him will be frightening somehow?

It is simply a true statement that abortion always kills children, and it stands on its own. Believers (and prolife unbelievers too) can unite on this issue.

"I believe that by caring for animals we are also caring for humans. We are providing them with God’s gift of emotional support and friendship through taking care of their pets. Do you think God approves of careers in veterinary medicine?"

If being a “secondary issue” means it’s not essential to someone’s salvation, then it is certainly secondary. However, it is not secondary if by that we mean unimportant.
