Hebrews 12 speaks of the Heavenly City as apparently already existing in the present Heaven, but we don't know exactly how that works...

It is the intermediate hell that is cast into the lake of fire.(Rev. 20:14)

I agree that God’s timing was perfect and He is the one who prompted you to be with your loved one when she died.

The offspring and descendants I understand to be the offspring and descendants of people presently alive.

I agree that there is a final judgment, but Scripture shows that there is also an immediate comfort in heaven or suffering in hell at the point of death.

As a professional singer, it was not unusual to be asked to sing for a wedding, but it was a bit unusual to sing for the wedding of a millionaire. We should not assume that the Bible describes Heaven in physical ways merely to accommodate us. It is fully possible that the present Heaven is a physical realm.

In The Chronicles of Narnia, C. S. Lewis paints a beautiful picture of heaven in the final book, The Last Battle. The book begins with a near collision of a railroad train, where the children are thrust into Narnia. But when their adventure is over, the children are afraid they will be sent back to earth again.

Without an eternal perspective, without ­under­standing the reality that the best is yet to come, we assume that people who die young, who are handicapped, who ­aren’t healthy, who ­don’t get married, or who ­don’t _____ [fill in the blank] inevitably miss out on the best life has to offer.

There’s no definitive proof, but the passage’s implication seems clear to me.

... whatever He does will be exciting.

I believe Christ died for all people, Jew and Gentile (1 John 2:2) I believe He brought His salvation first to the Jews, then to the Gentiles (Romans 1:16).

First, for His glory; second, for our good.
