Like many people, I enjoyed hearing updates about NASA’s Artemis II, which recently completed a 10-day mission around the moon, traveling over 800,000 kilometers. The photos that commander Reid Wiseman took of the earth are stunning!

Though we asked God wholeheartedly to heal Nanci, we recognized Him as Lord and trusted Him to do His will even if it wasn’t our will. We knew what God sovereignly chose would be both for His glory and Nanci’s good.

“To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me” (Colossians 1:29). We must make every effort to be righteous, to obey Him. Yet all the while we must do this appealing to His strength, not our own.

It’s been almost three years since author Tim Keller entered the presence of Jesus. As is said of Abel, so it can be said of Tim: “he still speaks through his faith” (Hebrews 11:4, CSB). This video clip, and what Tim says about how the resurrection changes how we face challenges, is just so powerful.

Out of the appallingly bad came what was inexpressibly good. And the good trumps the bad because the bad was temporary while the good is eternal. God’s love and grace come to us soaked in divine blood.

We may sometimes be able to fool ourselves and others, but never God. He knows what we’re thinking about and what we’re doing. And it is His appraisal of our life that ultimately matters.
