Answer from Randy Alcorn: Attacking fellow Bible-believing Christians is becoming commonplace. Spreading inaccurate information is epidemic.

First, to realize it will not be as easy as you’re thinking. To do it well will require a great deal of work and experience and feedback in developing a God-given talent—assuming God has given you that talent or aptitude in the first place, which is a BIG assumption.

. . .passages that speak about people sleeping when they die are likewise to be interpreted as simply a metaphorical expression to teach that death is temporary. . . In my mind this is not a central doctrinal issue.

Parables were a form of communication that always stressed one central idea. The rest of the story is usually extraneous, merely a prop to convey the central meaning.
