Question from a reader: Of all you've written about stewardship, what's the single most important point you'd want people to grasp about why they should be generous stewards for the kingdom?

Because of the inexpensive nature of the book, there is no reason every church in America couldn't do what we've done. I pray the truth of Scripture on this topic settles deep in the hearts of Christians everywhere.

Question from a reader: What do you think is the best curriculum out there for teaching Christian financial principles? Is there any curriculum based on your books?

A couple months ago, I read a review written by David Wills about my book Managing God’s Money. David is a great brother, and the president of the National Christian Foundation, the largest Christian grant-making foundation in the world.

An alarming number of children from Christian homes grow up grasping for every item they can lay their hands on. Children raised in such an atmosphere—which includes most children in America—are afflicted with a killer disease called “affluenza.”    

Focus on the Family has a new book out titled The 21 Day Dad’s Challenge: Three Weeks to a Better Relationship with your Kids. After watching Courageous, men all over the U.S. will emerge from movie theaters wanting to be better dads, and this is an excellent next step.

It seems clear to me that when Jesus says “where your treasure is, your heart will be also,” he is connecting the two in such a way to indicate they are linked together. Where treasure is placed (on earth or in Heaven), heart will follow.

I do in fact see Matthew 6 as certainly including, and actually even centering on, a promise for eternal rewards for the giving of money and possessions to the purposes of God.

These passages should simply be read, and a few observations recorded.
