A prolife reader recently asked me, “How do we explain twins? It has been raised to me as an argument against conception being the beginning of life.”

Today’s blog was written by my son-in-law Dan Franklin, who is married to my daughter Karina. Thanks, Dan, for speaking up for the unborn and helping the rest of us know how to speak up and engage others in conversation about abortion.

Some abortion advocates argue that even if a “fetus” is actually a person, that doesn’t change the fact that one person does not have the right to use the body of another person against their will (in this case, against the mother’s will). Therefore, she should have the right to “evict” the fetus from her body.

After we posted the link to my recent blog about New York’s Reproductive Health Act on Facebook, an EPM board member and one of our staff had exchanges with commenters claiming we were sharing false information and exaggerating the law’s effects.

Last Tuesday, on the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the New York Senate passed the Reproductive Health Act. As Russell Moore explains, in effect, it “removes any protections as persons from unborn children at any stage of pregnancy.” This means a baby can be aborted any time before birth, for any reason.

I’ve written before about my appreciation for Jackie Hill Perry’s book Gay Girl, Good God: The Story of Who I Was, and Who God Has Always Been. In this excerpt from the book, she shares a powerful prolife story.

Back in 2013, I wrote a blog about Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist, during his trial. Since then, the story has been turned into a film, which was released to theaters on October 12.

Last year, I shared on my blog about the petition to stop taxpayer funding for elective and late-term abortions in my home state of Oregon. I’m happy to say that volunteers gathered 150,000 signatures to get Measure 106 on the ballot this November. 

As I’ve shared in the past on my blog, Planned Parenthood’s abortion advocacy was rooted in the eugenics movement and its bias against the mentally and physically handicapped and minorities, all of which are historical facts.

We appreciate this group’s passion to see abortion ended. Any sincere prolifer would be ecstatic if abortion ended. Unfortunately, Abolish Human Abortion’s methods and philosophy are problematic.
