Prison Fellowship recently shared this great video from one of their outreach events, where they partnered with Riding High Ministries to present the hope of Christ through the experience of breaking a wild horse.

Our ministry received this note a few days ago from a prisoner we sent one of my books to. In his letter, he mentioned his birth date, which is six months to the day after my youngest daughter Angela’s. It touched me to think of how different people’s lives turn out.  

COVID-19 has brought many challenges to all of us, but the challenges have been amplified for those in prison. What a reminder of the tough times these men and women are dealing with. May more of them than ever be drawn to Jesus, and may God’s people pray for them and look for creative ways to minister to them.

Over twenty-five years ago, on nine occasions I participated in peaceful, nonviolent civil disobedience, briefly going to jail (my longest incarceration was only two days) for what was an extremely unpopular cause—speaking up for unborn children. Even my brief time there gave me a much greater heart for prison ministries like Prison Fellowship. 

A few years ago Nanci and I met Earl Smith, former death row chaplain at San Quentin. At a conference with professional football players, Earl told me, and at the time I didn’t know this, that our ministry has sent San Quentin lots of books.

As I shared in a blog last week, I have a missional perspective on my graphic novel Eternity. God has laid on my heart a vision for seeding the book far and wide because it includes a clear gospel presentation.

Throughout EPM’s existence, we’ve received countless encouraging letters from readers, sharing how God has used Randy’s books to inspire them to live in light of eternity. But some of the most touching letters we’ve received are from a specific group of people: prisoners.

By becoming an ‘advocate’ you are entering into the vital and important ministry of intercession and solidarity with those who suffer for their faith in Christ.

An increasing number of Americans are traveling to China to receive transplanted kidneys, livers, corneas and other body parts from executed Chinese prisoners.
