Scripture says we will sin and that we shouldn’t deny but should confess our sin, and celebrate the daily cleansing work of Jesus our Advocate. It also says the Bible is given to us not to make us sinless yet, but to help us sin less, to be sanctified now, anticipating the day we will be glorified and forever sinless.

I’ve received messages over the years from believers who say something along the lines of this: “I struggle with forgiving myself for a past sin. I’ve asked Christ’s forgiveness for it many times but can’t seem to resolve my feelings of guilt and accept God’s forgiveness.”

The widely stated notion “all sin is alike to God” is not grounded in Scripture. Yes, all sin is bad, separates us from God, and is deserving of God’s wrath. All sin crucified Jesus, and He freely offers His grace because no sin is beyond the reach of God’s grace. But it’s a myth that every sin is exactly the same to God.

It’s common to blame the world’s suffering and unhappiness on lack of education, opportunity, or resources. If only we knew more or had more, we’d surely be better. No. Our most basic problem is just . . . sin.

Jesus foi o Cordeiro, o sacrifício, a Páscoa, o Sacerdote, o Profeta, o Rei, o cumprimento da lei, o Pão da Vida, a Palavra. Sem o tempo para desenvolver esses conceitos ao longo da História e por meio das Escrituras, nunca teríamos entendido a profundeza da divindade de Deus. 

历史上最大的难题是：我们如何才能与一位恨恶邪恶的神和好。能在天堂见到神之前，我们必须经历完全的改变。而这就需要史上最伟大的解决方法。

O problema de como seria possível nos reconciliar com um Deus que odeia o mal, é o maior problema da história. Antes de podermos ver a Deus no céu, algo necessita mudar radicalmente. Isso exige nada menos do que a melhor solução já concebida.
