Randy Alcorn was interviewed by Steve Keels at his home church Good Shepherd Community Church in Boring, Oregon. He spoke on his novel Courageous and what it means to be a Christ-following father. 

In last Friday's post, I contrasted Robertson McQuilkin’s dedication to care for his wife Muriel, stricken with Alzheimer’s, to Pat Robertson’s cruel answer to a question regarding a man having an affair that if he’s going to do anything, he should divorce his wife who has Alzheimer’s.

Pat Robertson has said something so stunning, so at odds with the Word of God and the heart of our Savior, that when I heard he had said it I thought he had been misunderstood or misrepresented.

God did not create human fathers, realize they were like him, and decide to call himself our Father. On the contrary, He created marriage and family to communicate not only Christ’s love for his church, but also the Father and Son’s love for each other.

What is your opinion of tubal ligations?  My husband and my mother both think I should have my tubes tied.  I am 36 years old and have only one son who is nine.  Since his birth I've had many miscarriages.
