Folks back then said it all started when I moved away from my parents at eighteen. They said I was young and stupid, and was pushed into crazy beliefs because I had no one to guide me. 

Over the years I’ve often been told that human life issues, such as abortion and euthanasia, are not what the church of Jesus Christ should be about. I was even told by a seminary student at my church, “These issues distract us from the main thing.”

The idea for the Memorial Rose Garden was birthed in the hearts of Dave and Audrey Stout after Audrey had visited the National Memorial to the Unborn in Tennessee.

The following is the text of closing arguments I prepared at the request of attorney William Bailey, in February of 1993.

The following are my message notes from the Good Shepherd Community Church services of January 18 and 19, 1997. Pastors and all others communicating on this subject are welcome to use this material.

When I was 17, I found myself apart from my family, involved in an unhealthy relationship with a man and pregnant-which was something I didn’t want to think about or deal with.

Years ago I was given an amazing opportunity to address three thousand people, most of them high school students, on the subject of abortion. 

The first time 7-year-old Emily Bausch met Norma McCorvey, she had no idea she had come face to face with an icon of the pro-abortion movement—”Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade. 

After reading my book ProLife Answers to ProChoice Arguments, someone sent me an editorial from Spectrum, the student newspaper of the University of New York at Buffalo. 

Abortion liberates men, not women. There are three reasons for this.

I would never have thought that I'd be sitting here with "Jane Roe" and "Mary Doe," the two people that in 1973 we thought were responsible for this disaster of abortion in our country.
