How Do You Know Whether or Not Someone Who Is Homosexual and Claims to Know Jesus Is Truly a Christian?

article March 19, 2010
There is a difference between being a homosexual and being a homosexual activist, just as there is a difference between having an abortion and being an abortion activist. An activist is one who publicly defends and thereby promotes the sin as a cause, who attempts to morally justify it.
Some Thoughts on Eternal Security and the Arminian and Calvinist Positions

Some Thoughts on Eternal Security and the Arminian and Calvinist Positions

article March 18, 2010
The biblical evidence is substantial for both the Arminian and Calvinist positions. John Wesley and Charles Finney were great men of God who took the Arminian position. John Calvin and Charles Spurgeon were great men of God who took the Calvinist position. It is not stupid or immoral or faithless to take either position.
Sin, Blame & Forgiveness

Sin, Blame & Forgiveness

article March 16, 2010
There is little we can do about the sins others do to us, other than forgive them. There is much we can do about our sins against God and others—confess and repent and embrace the forgiveness of God and call on his power to live differently.

Could Jesus Have Failed in His Mission to Redeem Us?

article March 16, 2010
An orthodox understanding of the deity of Christ compels us to say he could not have failed in his mission. Indeed, if he could have failed, he is not all powerful and therefore he was not and is not God.

Sexual Abuse Can Be an Obstacle to Salvation

article March 9, 2010
Becoming a Christian makes a person clean. However, if the dirtiness that a person feels is not a result of her actions then it is hard to really feel like you’ve been forgiven.

The Most Important Thing You'll Ever Hear: God's Offer of Salvation

article February 23, 2010
A few days ago a friend asked me to meet with her non-Christian family and share the gospel with them.
Why Can One Only Be Saved if He Is Obedient? Is this Not Works Salvation?

Why Can One Only Be Saved if He Is Obedient? Is this Not Works Salvation?

article February 1, 2010
The only obedience that is necessary for salvation is yielding to the requirements of the gospel (John 3:16, Acts 16:30,31).
Who Will Be in Heaven?

Who Will Be in Heaven?

article February 1, 2010
While there may be others we don't know of who God has created or will create in the future, we know the following will be in heaven...

Will We Be Reunited with Children Who Have Died Too Young to Believe in Christ?

article January 29, 2010
Scripture opens the door to the answer to this question through its teaching that God has a special love for children.

Invest in Eternity
Randy Alcorn

Note from Randy Alcorn: If you’re new to our website, please ignore this. We are just glad to have you here! For our regulars, giving to EPM is significantly down this year, over 39% compared to previous years, which means more has been going out of our account than coming in. If you feel led by God to support us, we would greatly appreciate any gifts to our general fund. We aren’t worried, as God has faithfully provided for our ministry for 33 years. But if you’ve found our resources to be helpful, we invite you to consider making a one-time or recurring gift to help fund our eternity-shaping work.

Jesus said, “Freely you have received, freely give” (Matt. 10:8). It’s our joy to share freely what God has so graciously entrusted to us. We are here to serve everyone without cost, so please do not feel pressured to give!
