Super Bowl Sunday, Nick Foles, and a Great Half-Time Video You Can Use

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
I’m praying for quarterback Nick Foles, that he would be in the eye of the hurricane, experiencing the peace of Jesus. Nick turned 29 last week, so this is a lot of pressure on a young man, but he’s humble and grounded, and I know from interactions with him yesterday that God is giving him great peace.

Will Those Who Dislike Cities Find Themselves at Home in the New Jerusalem?

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
Over the years, people have told me they can’t get excited about the New Jerusalem because they don’t like cities. But this city will be different—it will have all the advantages we associate with earthly cities but none of the disadvantages.

Come and See: An Invitation to Experience the Goodness and Fullness of Life God Offers

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
My friend Todd Wagner is pastor of Watermark Church in Texas, a great church where I’ve had the privilege of speaking. He’s also the author of a new book called Come and See: Everything You Ever Wanted in the One Place You Would Never Look.

Luis Palau and Sons Sharing His Stage 4 Cancer Diagnosis and Continued Trust in Jesus

video - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
Luis Palau is an international Christian evangelist and the founder of the Luis Palau Evangelical Association, a wonderful ministry that EPM has supported. Joined by his sons Andrew and Kevin, Luis made a video announcing that he’s been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

The Beauty of Choosing Life After a Difficult Prenatal Diagnosis

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
A couple attending a Sunday school class I was teaching years ago at my church had discovered that the child she was carrying was anencephalic. Devastated, they requested prayer of the class because “we’re meeting with the doctor tomorrow to discuss our options.”

Nick Foles and Case Keenum, NFL Brothers Who Love Jesus and Are Starting Quarterbacks in Sunday’s NFC Championship

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
There are many Christ-followers in the NFL, more than most people are aware. Through the ministry of Pro Athletes Outreach (PAO), in the past few years I’ve been able to speak to and meet hundreds of them, and develop personal relationship with several dozen.

How Pastors Can Model and Teach What God’s Word Says About Financial Stewardship

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
How we manage God’s money is a central biblical subject of extreme importance. Hence, financial stewardship should be unapologetically addressed by Christian leaders—we who are called upon to declare “the whole counsel of God” to the people He entrusts to our care (Acts 20:27, ESV).
Did the Jews Expect Messiah Would Be God?

Did the Jews Expect Messiah Would Be God?

article - Randy Alcorn
Question from a Reader: I’m studying the book of Luke. I know that the Jews were expecting a Messiah that was king, deliverer, etc., but did they also expect a Messiah that was actually God? Are there any Old Testament prophecies that mention that?

My Writing Process, Advice for Aspiring Authors, and Answers to Other Questions about Writing

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
If God’s Word is daily at home in your heart and mind, your writing will take on a perspective, and an air of solidity and permanence it won’t have otherwise.

Meet Orville Rogers, 100-Year-Old Jesus Follower, Generous Giver, and Athlete

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
One of the great highlights of the illumiNations event I attended last year was talking with Orville Rogers, who serves Jesus with all his heart, and hearing from him as he was interviewed on stage.

Working Together, It’s Possible for the Light of God’s Word to Reach Every Language in Our Generation

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
Several weeks ago, Nanci and I returned from the illumiNations gathering in Washington, DC. Attending and speaking at the event was a wonderful experience. I want to share some things about it, and explain how you too can be a part of impacting eternity by supporting Bible translation.

Lessons from the Book of Job

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
We share this in common with Job—God doesn’t specifically explain why He permits evil and suffering to fall upon us. He wants us to trust Him. In one sense, Job is everyman.

The Deadly Life of Ease

article - Randy Alcorn Randy's blog
Jesus is not our personal assistant charged with granting our wishes. While He often doesn’t give us what we want, He always gives us what we need.
Is the Bride of Christ an Individual or a Group?

Is the Bride of Christ an Individual or a Group?

article - Karen Coleman
We can think of the Bride as one entity. But it’s like all the students of a school can be called together “the school.” Many students make up one school. Or even better, all believers in Jesus can be called together “the Church.” It’s one thing made up of many members.
According to Revelation 6:9-11, Will We Have Bodies in the Present Heaven? Or Just Souls?

According to Revelation 6:9-11, Will We Have Bodies in the Present Heaven? Or Just Souls?

article - Karen Coleman
With our finite understanding, it’s a logical conclusion that if the souls of the martyrs can be seen, in a certain location–under the altar—and they can cry out with a loud voice, then they have bodies to make those things possible. God may have a different way to make those things possible, but we have no particular reason to think so.
